INTRODUCTION

Ours is undoubtedly the era of Computer Technology, the study of which continues to evoke new-found fascination. The department of Computer Science and Engineering at NPRCET, Natham was started in the year 2008 under the control of Anna University. The Computer Science and Engineering department has the strength of 120 intakes for UG and with the intake of 18 for PG. It has dedicated and highly qualified faculty members to direct all attention towards teaching and training the Computer Science Engineers and to make them look beyond the obvious.

The department laboratories have well equipped where need-based and demanded training has offered.Students gain a strong a theoretical understanding and practical experience in the design of efficient reliable software and hardware to meet industry requirements. There is a strong emphasis both on the fundamentals of computing and on practical skills and team work. The department has state of the art facilities for carrying out projects in computer graphics, vision, networks, distributed systems, hardware design and artificial intelligence.

The department of computer Science and Engineering had received 12 University ranks in Anna university theory examinations.

The Department strives to develop long term relationship with industries and market the student’s talents effectively. The students are thus provided high level ‘Leads and Pathways’ that enable them to gain access to a broad range of ‘High Potential’ and ‘Hi-Tech’ career opportunities.
